National Garden Scheme Open Day

This year, Trinity College celebrates the 25th Anniversary of opening its gardens for charity under the National Garden Scheme. During this time, Trinity College has raised £32,897  by way of admissions,  and £12,542 by way of teas and light refreshments. That means over the years, thanks to all those who have kindly supported us, we have managed to raise  £45,439,40

For those who are not aware, we run the event so that all the money which comes from admissions is paid in full to the National Garden Scheme ( NGS ) and all the money which comes in by way of  teas and light refreshments is donated to a local charity within Oxfordshire. Doing this allows us to ensure that the smaller charities can continue with their amazing work helping others within our own community. This year I am delighted to announce that our chosen local charity  we are supporting is Flexicare

Over the years some we have helped a number of different charities some of which, and in no particular order are :

Cumnor Church
Bardwell School
Yellow Submarine
Cholsey Girl Guides
See Saw
Abingdon Child Contact Centre
Florence Park Community Centre
Sobell House
Restore
JR Leukaemia Unit

I have included a lovely thank you letter from Yellow Submarine which epitomizes why we love doing this so much.

Below is a photograph of one very happy customer when Bardwell School ran the refreshments.

I can't even begin to tell you what it means to me to be involved in helping so many worthwhile causes both nationally and locally, but on behalf of our very own  "Gardens Department " , we a truly very grateful. Really hope to see some of you on the 25th March.
